Our Education

Our Spanish Immersion Program offers children the wonderful gift of learning a second language in a natural and playful way. Throughout the day, we communicate with the children entirely in Spanish, helping them absorb the language through conversation, songs, and hands-on activities. They learn to recognize and say the alphabet, numbers, and body parts—from las manos (hands) and los ojos (eyes) to la nariz (nose) and las orejas (ears)—all through gentle repetition and daily routines. Music plays a joyful role in our classroom; the children learn traditional and fun Spanish songs, which we love to share during special celebrations and parties, where they proudly sing to their parents. This immersive approach not only builds strong language skills but also nurtures confidence, cultural awareness, and a lifelong love of learning.

Spanish & Immersion Program

At our daycare, we believe that children learn best when they are free to explore, imagine, and play. Every day is filled with opportunities for hands-on discovery, where little ones can touch, move, listen, and observe the world around them. Through play, children build confidence, problem-solving skills, and creativity while developing socially and emotionally in a fun, nurturing environment. We design each activity to stimulate their natural curiosity and help them learn through all five senses, making every moment a meaningful learning experience.

We encourage children to explore by:

  • Seeing – observing colors, shapes, and patterns in nature and art, and learning to “see” how their actions and expressions make their friends feel.

  • Hearing – listening to stories, songs, and the sounds of their environment, and listening carefully to the voices of friends, learning empathy and understanding through attentive listening.

  • Touching – exploring textures through sensory play like sand, water, and finger painting, and learning gentle, kind touches when interacting with others.

  • Smelling – noticing scents from flowers, snacks, and creative sensory materials and using their curiosity to explore new experiences and environments.

  • Tasting – safely experiencing new flavors and learning about healthy foods during snack time, and sharing snacks with others to also experience the joy of caring for those around you.

By engaging all their senses, children become active participants in their own learning journey—discovering the joy, wonder, and excitement of the world around them.

Learning Through Play and Exploration

At our daycare, we focus on giving each child the tools and confidence they need to be fully prepared for kindergarten. We understand that this important transition is about more than academics—it’s about helping children feel independent, capable, and excited to learn. Every day, we support them in developing essential skills such as potty training, writing their names and letters, and recognizing the alphabet. We practice counting up to 20, explore shapes and colors, and encourage clear communication and social interaction with friends and teachers. Through gentle guidance, hands-on learning, and positive encouragement, children gain the self-confidence, curiosity, and social skills they need to start kindergarten with a smile and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Our Philosophy

The philosophy in my childcare is to treat all the children equally and meet all of their needs. We provide a positive and creative environment for a first group experience for young children. We want to foster our children's acceptance of the individual differences in people as they develop a positive image of themselves. Most of all, Maria's day-care wants to maintain an atmosphere where the children can discover the joy of learning about themselves and their world.
